Hello,
Thanks for your reply. I am looking at Dedicated servers for hosting the Grafana LGTM Stack.
Is it fine to have 2 dedicated servers for GET(Grafana enterprise Traces) with 32gb ram and 32 core cpu and 1 tb of HDD and 3 dedicated servers for GEL(Grafana enterprise Logs) for 120 gb of data per day and 30 days retention.
Where i am taking 60gb for logs and 60 gb for traces.
Thanks
Can someone please reply to my question on GEL and GET Cluster sizing.
Thanks
AK
What’s a problem with random machine size test? Use cloud, so you can resize machine anytime as you need.
Unfortunately we are looking at a on-prem version of Grafana Enterprise. Thats the reason we are looking at server sizing for GET, GEL and GEM . Any information on how many servers needed and how much CPU Cores and RAM would be helpful
Yes, you can test sizing in the cloud with a low fee.
Sizing depend on many factors.
Yes, you can have 100gb of logs, but sizing will be different if those logs will be querying by thousand users or just one.
Sizing will be different if those thousand users will be querying logs at the same time ot not at the same time.
Sizing will be diffent if those thousand users will be querying logs at the same time with complicated/expensive log processing query or simple query.

Hi, we have added a cluster sizing guide in the tempo docs.
please use this to size your tempo cluster but please be aware that these are just guidelines and not hard rules, and it might change with new releases.
