Grafana with Prometheus - deleting the Chunks folder

Hello,

I’m a complete layman when it comes to Grafana.

We have implemented HCL Sametime software for Docker, which uses Grafana and Prometheus for stats.

It often happens that after restarting the Sametime 12.0.1 server, the Prometheus container does not start. Deleting directories without the “Chunks” folder helps, but we want to keep the data for e.g. one year.
There are still “chunks” of the directory in /tmp/prometheus/data being lost.

Can I ask for advice on how to prevent these “Chunks” folders from being lost?

Have you asked HCL about this problem?

They put together this combination of software; if it doesn’t work correctly I
would start with them.
