Grafana alert with elasticsearch can’t support Template variables
the Dashboard is add with variables , can’t support Template varialbes
the query with variable can’t add alert ,can add this function?

It would be pretty useful if grafana would support alerting for queries using te…mplate variables. The way I see it work it would be as follows: 1. Generate queries foreach template variable combination (discarding template variable for __all__) 2. When generating queries, consider the frozen list if the template variable is set to never refresh, else update the template variable list 3. Allow filtering (trough regex or by providing a static value) for each template variable The current workaround is to use an invisible wildcard metric, but the problem I see with this approach is that it loses context.

This seems to still be an issue, unless I’m mistaking the topic. We are using Grafana 8.1.2 and the alert datasource is elasticsearch. We are trying to us a variable in the “Summary”, e.g. something like {{ $labels.cluster.keyword }} and it’s throwing a “<$labels.cluster>: map has no entry for key "cluster"” error in the logs. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
