My PostGres query has variables in it . If i move to alerts tab i see this… this is not gr8 …7x is better
Even 7.x can not do this…
If you’re using variable, the alert will confuse which variable do you want to check, so it’s the native of the alert, to make this simple and doable, because alert is automatically trigger by the threshold.

Are you certain you have Grafana 8 alerts enabled? This looks like it’s the response returned from the legacy alerting system.

I have encountered the same problem. I think we should support template variables, because we need to monitor different tasks according to template variables
