Is there interest in adding the ability to disable alerting instance-wide? For a managed Grafana where alerting is provided elsewhere or is not supported for installed datasources the alerting features can be confusing. The main goal is to remove any visual indicators that alerting exists, or gray them out.
There is a config setting you can use to disable alerting.
