Cannot install plugin simple-react-panel built from source

Hi,

I have built the plugin referenced from your plugin development documentation https://github.com/grafana/simple-react-panel
When I install it inside grafana 6.3.5 (running as a docker container using the published image) using grafana-cli, the command line reports a successful installation but nothing appears in the plugins folder, whereas everything works fine when I install a plugin from the public repository, or if I manually download the plugin zip archive from the said repository and install it as if it came from our internal http server. It seems the zip archive is wrong but I can’t see what it is missing compared to the official plugins…

Did you ever get this working? I can successfully build this and add the plugin (as I can see it in the list of plugins) but when it comes to panel construction it is not a visualisation option.
