Can we silence alerts at a certain time of the day?

I am looking to silence alerts overnight as we have backups running leading to a flood of emails in the morning which lessens the value of the alert notifications. Is there a way that we can silence alerts at a given time of the day.

In case you find this useful I created a script to pause and resume alerts. I believe you can put it in a cron job or a pipeline and manage schedules there. As a temporary solution :
