An unexpected error happened after upgrading to Grafana 7

Since I upgraded to Grafana 7, first thing was that I couldn’t login. Deleting the browser’s cache and cookies solved this. Now I’m facing the problem that in a new panel, after changing e.g. title or sql statement or anything else, couldn’t figure out when exactly I get an unexpected error “Cannot read property ‘substr’ of undefined”.
