Thanks Antonio. Can we proceed with updagrade from 7.1 to 8.1 directly without any issues?

Hi @kimcagayat

You should first read through breaking changes to know what to expect. There are a lot of differences between major version upgrades, from 7 - 9 .

Hi Antonio, thanos for your feedback. I upgraded from 7.1 to 8.1. I noticed that the Azure Log Analytics Datasources are no longer configurable. Please see screenshots:

Can you please help advise on how I can remediate this?

Hi @kimcagayat

Is that menu needed for the azure monitor datasource to work in the Grafana version you just installed? As far as I have read in the 7.1 azure docs , the menu was there for writting your credentials. Currently, the two configuration methods (i.e. authentication/credentials) for the Azure plugin are via Azure AD App Registrations or using managed entity . So, perhaps that’s all you need to keep in mind.

In Grafana v9.2.2.the menu is not included either. I hope the data source works correctly despite the missing menu.
