Teams LDAP External Group Sync not working

    11.1.0 Enterprise

  • What are you trying to achieve?
    Enable sync for external managed LDAP groups to teams

  • How are you trying to achieve it?
    Adding the DN to External Group Sync within the team

  • What happened?
    nothing. Group not added

  • What did you expect to happen?
    Group should by added

  • Can you copy/paste the configuration(s) that you are having problems with?
    cn=users,ou=groups,dc=grafana,dc=org (is the given example) and this doesn’t work. Adding our own group works for the cn and first OU part only (cn=users,ou=groups)
    cn=users,ou=groups,ou=mygroups doesn’t work and also no other settings after this.

  • Did you receive any errors in the Grafana UI or in related logs? If so, please tell us exactly what they were.
    No error in UI, browser dev tools or server log (in debug mode)

  • Did you follow any online instructions? If so, what is the URL?

We found the issue. Our WAF blocked the submission, due to LDAP injection alert.
So no issue with Grafana, just our infrastructure. Maybe helpful for other using an F5 WAF.
