Promtail or Alloy?

Is Promtail or Alloy better for sending Windows Event Logs to Grafana for analysis?

I am not familiar with Windows, but I would recommend you to test Alloy first. Promtail won’t receive any new update, and I believe all development efforts are shifted to Alloy.
