How to use mimirtool to analyze Grafana alert rules?

  • What Grafana version and what operating system are you using?
    Grafana v9.4.7

  • What are you trying to achieve?
    I need to understand how to use the mimirtool command to analyze alerts defined into my Grafana instance. I can analyze dashboards in order to get Prometheus metric names that are used there with the mimirtool analyze grafana command, but I do not see how to also analyze Grafana alerts.

  • How are you trying to achieve it?
    By using the mimirtool command. I’m able to export alerts into a Yaml file, but it seems there is not way to pass that file to mimirtool to get the job done (or I haven’t found it at least)

    Unfortunately nothing

  • What did you expect to happen?
    I would like to have the possibility to analyze Grafana alert rules with mimirtool
