Grafana Loki Data Source

Hi all,

We have deployed Loki as scalable mode. Our setup integrates Loki and MinIO as storage.

loki-backend-0 2/2 Running 0 8h
loki-backend-1 2/2 Running 0 8h
loki-backend-2 2/2 Running 0 8h
loki-canary-9jrtt 1/1 Running 0 8h
loki-canary-n5clb 1/1 Running 0 8h
loki-canary-zxfqn 1/1 Running 0 8h
loki-gateway-65c65787f6-lhd2s 1/1 Running 0 8h
loki-grafana-agent-operator-59556555b8-mmz2n 1/1 Running 0 8h
loki-logs-bd4wx 2/2 Running 0 8h
loki-logs-bqzgp 2/2 Running 0 8h
loki-logs-h4h62 2/2 Running 0 8h
loki-read-76f4cc89b6-6q7l2 1/1 Running 0 8h
loki-read-76f4cc89b6-x6cgs 1/1 Running 0 8h
loki-read-76f4cc89b6-xw7dk 1/1 Running 0 8h
loki-write-0 1/1 Running 0 8h
loki-write-1 1/1 Running 0 8h
loki-write-2 1/1 Running 0 8h

Now, we would like to setup the Grafana datasource to see Loki data.

What connection URL should be used? Which kubernetes pod should be used as datasource?

Thanks in advance

You should have a frontend (most likely nginx) that forwards traffic to read or write containers based on the request (for example, push request goes to writer, query requests go to reader, etc). As such, you should use the frontend nginx for the data source configuration from Grafana.
