Global variables working in table querry, but giving error in "Variables" section

Hello,

I started using these two Global Variables:
“Cash”__dashboard
and
“Cash”{__user.login}

When I add them to TABLE SQL - they work fine.

The problem occurs when I try to add them to “Variables”.
I get the following error:

Could You please assist me?
Using Grafana 7.1.5

Hi, I have the same problem with Global variables in Grafana 9.2.6. As I understand global variable could be used in Editor only.
