Fetching Latest realtime datapoints without refetching all the data

Hello, I explored the Grafana and also TimescaleDB docs, but I could not find a good understanding on how Grafana handles data for realtime update.

My question is, “Is there ways to handle realtime data such that only the new data points of a timeseries data gets fetched on every refresh?”

I want to integrate Grafana with TimescaleDB.

Please let me know if this is doable, and also some reference to articles or documentation would be really helpful.

There is a new feature in Grafana 8, called Grafana Live. This feature motors a new streaming platform. You can use Telegraf or the new MQTT datasource. Check it out:
