Alert not working on panel configured template variable

    Grafana v7.5.5 (b5190ee547)

  • What are you trying to achieve?
    To send notification from panel configured with template variables.

  • How are you trying to achieve it?
    By setting the alert on panel

  • What happened?
    Getting below error when creating alert. The same alert alert works when passing values instead of variable

“alert validation error: Data source used by alert rule not found, alertName=Backend Last Byte Response Time alert, datasource=${datasource}”

  • What did you expect to happen?
    Seems like this is an open issue.

  • Can you copy/paste the configuration(s) that you are having problems with?
