Grafana 8 alert messages switching status between "firing" and "resolved"

    grafana-8.1.2

  • What are you trying to achieve?
    Configure any alert with grafana 8 opt-in alerting feature.

  • How are you trying to achieve it?
    Configure alert as described in “Grafana 8 Alerts” part of grafana documentation

  • What happened?
    When condition for alert trigger is met, the alert sends message with status: “firing” as expected but after time period defined in “Group Interval” in Notification Policies it sends message with status: “resolved” even though the alert is still in “Alerting” state, after that the whole cycle repeats endlesly : message with status: “firing” is sent and after that message with status: “resolved”. It doesn’t matter which operations i use, it works the same way for “classic condition” and for “reduce/math”

  • What did you expect to happen?
    I expect alert to send one message with status: “firing” after the trigger conditions are met and after these conditions change i expect alert to send one message with status: “resolved”

I have exact the same issue…

When I first make a graph panel, and from there create the alert, seems to work better.
I don’t get the alerting-resolved cyclus anymore.

That doesn’t work for me, even if i create brand new dashboard, create new graph panel and create alert from there it still goes into firing-resolved loop
