Failed to start prometheus.service:

I have configured Prometheus on centos 7, but getting an error :
“Failed to start prometheus.service: Unit is not loaded properly: Bad message.
See system logs and ‘systemctl status prometheus.service’ for details.”

how to fix it

  1. Have a look at the system logs to see if they tell you what the problem is.

  2. Try the command “systemctl status prometheus.service” to see if that gives
    you any more information.

  3. Try asking for assistance on a Prometheus list or forum (this one is for
    Grafana, so although some people here do use Prometheus, it’s not the best
    place to get the most expertise).
