Disconnect values based on a **dynamic** threshold

  • What Grafana version and what operating system are you using?
    (Latest OSS, Linux)
  • What are you trying to achieve?
    Is there any way to Disconnect values based on a dynamic threshold?
    E.g. if it is higher than the windowPeriod?
  • How are you trying to achieve it?
    Tried to use ${v.windowPeriod}
  • What happened?
    Did just disable any threshold!
  • What did you expect to happen?
    Uses the dynamic threshold.

Did you figure this out? Iā€™m using a Postgres data source with __timeGroupAlias and as soon as you zoom out to where the datapoints are binned to the same threshold as the disconnect threshold - then everything becomes disconnected and it looks ugly.

Still no solutions to this?

I thought I needed this, however I realised that I was only using the disconnect feature because my data query (which I inherited!) was not good enough. By fixing the minimum interval to match the frequency the data is sent I am able to get data that was good enough to not need to bridge some nulls, as every null was valid in the first place, so ended up never connecting nulls and never disconnecting over a threshold in the first place. YMMV.
