I would like to alert when the ping result (packets_received) is 0.
However, if I set the alert rule to avg is below 1.00 it always alerts and I get the error:“tsdb.HandleRequest() error Missing query definition for mode”
What am I doing wrong?

What datasource?
Are you using template variables? that’s not supported with alerting.
