I want to have a way to filter by label value (eg, hostname=customer1, hostname=customer2, etc) for multiple panels at once. I have a state table and a time series currently.
I thought dashboard variables were the answer, but a new problem came up: it shows ALL the values for hostname, even ones that Im no longer monitoring, eg have been removed. this isn’t a problem now when I’m testing, but as I scale it up it’s going to get ugly I think.
The actual panels seem to filter out based on my selected timerange, which is great, but the dashboard variable doesn’t.
as an example: test failure 3 was removed awhile ago, and no longer shows in the panels, but I still have to see it in the dashboard variable
