What's the best way to represent distance covered?

Grafana 8.1.3
Ubuntu 20.04

I’m working on metrics for autonomous vehicle-esque project and I am trying to show what distance it covered on a given day and when it was active.
It work just fine, but looks kind of ugly: https://i.imgur.com/BtfjEMQ.png especially when zoomed out for a week or so.

Are there any better options for displaying this information that are more readable and better looking?
