# Using $\_\_user.login in Grafana variable query

Hi

I am using Grafana 7.1  
Using grafana built in variable while creating a user defined variable and it works fine when I set refresh never.

But it fails to load data when I set refresh ‘on dashboard load’. Gives error as shown in screenshot  
Please help.

heard $\_\_user is officially supported in Grafana 7.2 did u try in that ?  
worked for me in 7.2

yes its working now in 7.2
