Using DS variable in other variable

  • What are you trying to achieve?
    Use a DS variable as DS in other variable

  • How are you trying to achieve it?

  • What happened?
    I defined a Prometheus DS variable, and I could select it in the panels and use it in the Dashboard.
    Then I defined an AdHoc variable, but the DS variable was missing in its DS list.

  • What did you expect to happen?
    I expect the DS list of AdHoc (or any) variable to include the DS variable, as it is for the Panels.

  • Can you copy/paste the configuration(s) that you are having problems with?

  • Did you receive any errors in the Grafana UI or in related logs? If so, please tell us exactly what they were.
