Users randomly disabled after 60 max users access

  • What Grafana version and what operating system are you using?
Grafana v10.1.1 Enterprice Edition Self-Hosted on Linux

  • What are you trying to achieve?
We use a Grafana instance with more di 60 users able to access

  • How are you trying to achieve it?
We use LDAP for authentification, then on Administration->Users we manage users and team rights

  • What happened?
We notice that until 59 users including local admin, all users are able to access and none is disabled. When we add an additional users and it’ll access, in the same moment another user get disabled.

  • What did you expect to happen?
Everything works as expected until 59 users, disabled users appears only beyond the 60 users (Administration->Users).

Thank you for any suggestion or setting we might change to prevent the issue.

What does your log file say and do you have a license for that enterprise version?

We are trying to retrive the log file. In the meanwhile, we are using the enterprise version without any license, is there any users count limitation for the free version?

Any news on this? We also encountered randomly disabled users. What should I look for in the logs?

It looks like something changed somewhere between Grafana Version 8 to 10.

The setup to use LDAP for authentication only and set the Role in Grafana does not work anymore. The Role is synced via LDAP. Previously I could change the role in Grafana.

It’s good idea to check new features, when you upgrade. skip_org_role_sync should fix the problem
