I have an energy monitor and I send my values to grafana.
I often have to check the value to avoid overloading, but it usually changes a few times during the day and I would only send the data to the server when the data changes.
In this way the graph is like a “triangular wave”: the last point is connected to the next with a slope.
I would like to have a “square wave” diagram, so grafana must assume that the value has not changed up to the new data.
I know this should be a simple “problem” explained many times and I am also sorry to write it so badly, it is difficult to explain even in my native language…

You want Staircase Mode in the visualisation tab.
