What Grafana version and what operating system are you using? I have a client machine with data stored in InfluxDB v2. The same machine has Grafana v12.0.1. I have dashboards in the local grafana that connect to the Influx DB. It works well

Grafana Assistant is Grafana Cloud feature:
So you need Grafana Cloud instance first. You can’t use it with your on-prem Grafana.
You may try to use third party plugins with your on-prem Grafana, e.g. Graft:
Im happy to use it in a grafana cloud instance. Id like to know how I can move data from my on-prem into a form which cloud can readily use. Currently the data resides in influxdb v2 on-prem. The on-prem grafana is used for visualizations of the time series data (weather-related).
Hi @zubenubi
It can be done by installing / configuring the Private Data Source Connect for Grafana on the server where you have InfluxDB on-prem being run and then Grafana Cloud can connect to that private server.
