I was going to submit this as an issue in github but they said for questions to come here:

Is the minio version in this README correct?

That release of minio is 2 years old and I imagine it is supposed to be 5.0.15 which is a much more recent release

MinIO is not the preferred backend for Loki, I wouldn’t be surprised if the doc isn’t kept up-to-date. I don’t use MinIO myself, but I don’t think there is any problem to use the latest version.
