# Include log contents with alert

Hi,

I’m setting up alerting using log data in Loki and it’s not clear how to include log content with the alert? The only information I can get into the annotations is the $value of the sum from my expression (1) - what structure is the log data kept in? This seems like a fairly basic requirement but I’m struggling to find any answers…
