How to specify version and resolution when using http_api to include an opentsdb data source?

I’m currently sending this payload to configure an opentsdb data source:

{"name":"OpenTSDB","type":"opentsdb","url":"http://'$TSDB_HOST':4242","access":"proxy","isDefault":true}

But afterwards, I have to manually go to settings and change the data source configuration to the right version and resolution (seconds or milliseconds). How can I specify those parameters through the Grafana’s http api?

Please use chrome dev tools and network tab and inspect request when saving your datasource in UI. I would guess that you need to provide a jsonData property, but you should be able to spot this when inspecting the request.
