How to add unit to a grafana metric

I am uploading temperature and other metrics from my soil sensor. I want to include the unit of each value. I don’t quite know how to approach. Here is the API:

Should units be added in my dashboard or with uploaded data? How do I do that in dashboard or uploaded data?
