Grafana instantly queries the elasticbackend on every input (keystroke)

  • What Grafana version and what operating system are you using?
    debian, grafana 8.2.2

  • What are you trying to achieve?
    editing queries without update on every input

  • How are you trying to achieve it?
    pushing buttons

  • What happened?
    on every input, grafana triggers a new request (even empty spaces)

  • What did you expect to happen?
    i expected the query to be sent to the backend, once i finished editing. i.e. focuschange from the query-editor line.

  • Can you copy/paste the configuration(s) that you are having problems with?
    nope, but websockets are deactivated (max_connections=0) if that relates…

This is a known issue, but I am not sure if those queries are actually getting sent. Please see the last comment on this GH issue, and if you can reproduce something else, please do comment with your research. Thank you!
