# Grafana dropdown variables list

Hi All,

Is it possible to make a dropdown list which based on templates and variables for next logs line:

> 2020-11-22T20:41:41+02:00 {} {“asked\_host”:“dns-cache01”, “requested\_domain”:“[vmi71744.contar.net](http://vmi71744.contar.net)”,“src\_ip”:“19.10.173.137”, “q\_type”:“A”,“q\_code”:“NOERROR”}  
> 2020-11-22T20:41:41+02:00 {} {“asked\_host”:“dns-cache01”, “requested\_domain”:“vmi71744.conta.nt”,“src\_ip”:“19.10.173.128”, “q\_type”:“A”,“q\_code”:“NOERROR”}  
> 2020-11-22T20:41:41+02:00 {} {“asked\_host”:“dns-cache01”, “requested\_domain”:“vmi71744.contar.nt”,“src\_ip”:“19.10.173.10”, “q\_type”:“A”,“q\_code”:“NOERROR”}

I saw that for variable it’s possible to use labels, but is it possible to combine labels and some text filters?  
I would like to make a dropdown list with filter by q\_code values

I think this would need to be asked over in #support

We are just now focusing more effort in supporting Loki here and haven’t really figure out where UI questions that are closely tied to Loki should go, but at the moment mostly only Loki devs are checking here so for better results I would ask this over in #support

I found this post as I am searching for the exact same answer. I have yet to find an equivalent post in #support.

Has anybody found an answer to this yet? I’ve asked in the community slack and got no reply, so I’m hoping that bumping this helps.
