# Grafana alerting - not working properly since update from v8

I made the mistake of updating my grafana instance from 8.x to 10.x, and since then the (automatically converted) alerts are not working properly.

- i’m getting MissingSeries errors (sets it as Resolved)
- i’m not able to edit the pushover message (i want to leave out some annotations like source, silence, dashboard and panel)
- i think i’m missing some errors.

My feeling is that the alerting option have been made quite complicated.  
So my question: Is there a simple tutorial that i can follow to set up a quite simple alert type:  
If the value in the graph is more (or less) than X during a specific time, then send “this message” (and nothing else) via Pushover.
