# Footer Totaling Incorrectly

**What Grafana version and what operating system are you using?**  
Grafana v11.3.0 (not the enterprise version)

**What are you trying to achieve?**  
I am trying to display a totals column for each month

**How are you trying to achieve it?**  
Using a table visualization and enabling a footer with total sum.

**What happened?**  
The footer is not summing correctly, and in some columns it is just creating a string of all the values. (My values are numeric, not strings)

**What did you expect to happen?**  
I expected correct sums.

Make sure that values are numbers, not strings - that means empty value should be 0 as well.

My values are already numbers. And I already tried defaulting the empty value to 0 and that did not fix it.

I have seen this and I think it is a known issue.

I would try out this plugin instead
