# Elasticsearch-templating

can anyone please help me to create a template variable for elastic search?

Here are the templating docs for elasticsearch:

Here is an example of templated dashboard:  
[http://play.grafana.org/dashboard/db/elasticsearch-templated?orgId=1&var-source=site&var-host=server1&var-host=server2](http://play.grafana.org/dashboard/db/elasticsearch-templated?orgId=1&var-source=site&var-host=server1&var-host=server2)

To dashboard settings menu \> templating and look at the variable definitions.
