Elasticsearch cross-cluster search - missing mappings

Hey guys!
Since we moved from the tribe node to cross cluster search in ES some parts of grafana do not work properly:

  • Adding ES datasources is a bit weird since it fails to find the @timestamp field in the empty mappings result.
  • Auto complete doesn’t work across the board
  • Explore feature doesn’t seem to work as well because of this

Is it something I’m missing in the ES configuration or the grafana config?

Eugene, did you find any solution to using Grafana with Elasticsearch’s cross-cluster search functionality?

nope, I have not; and unfortunately my issue on github was closed.
