Hey folks,
We’re about to start migrating from Datadog to Grafana, a few hundred dashboards and roughly the same number of alerts across metrics, logs, and traces. I’ve looked at the bits of official docs I could find and a few blog write-ups, but I’d really value hearing from people who’ve actually been through it.
Mostly looking for:
- Tooling you used (or wish you had) for translating dashboards and alerts
- The non-obvious gotchas — query language differences, tag/label semantics, alert behaviour, anything that bit you
- How you sequenced things and ran the two in parallel
