I have searched for this on Google and in the Discourse and couldn’t find anything.
I am unable to type a tilde into the query editors in Grafana, for example when using PromQL regex matches (=~).
On the German keyboard in macOS, the tilde is a so-called “dead key”, which means it won’t appear until you press another key that it applies to, which can be space. Unfortunately, that does not work in Grafana. When I press ~, I see the ~, waiting for another key press. When I press space, the ~ disappears. The same work in other places, like the query editor in the Prometheus UI.
I have tried it in both Chrome and Safari, but neither works.
