Adjust legend data scale value

  • What Grafana version and what operating system are you using?
    v9.3.1 - Debian 11

  • What are you trying to achieve?
    Change the legend scale. Instead of showing PiB, show in TiB. Ideally this would be something configurable - eg: if I get to 10 or 100 PiB, then show values in PiB. Until then I would rather see 1800 TiB than 1.8 PiB.

  • How are you trying to achieve it?
    Through Dashboard modifications

  • What happened?
    Can’t find a way to change it.

  • What did you expect to happen?
    I was hoping to find a way to change it.

Have you tried the data selections to see if that made a change?

Unfortunately, the data we are ingesting is in bytes(IEC). So adjusting that number makes it look like we have yetabytes of storage.

Grafana handles the units appropriately, it just adjusts the displayed unit automatically. I’d like to see if I can adjust that manually, or provide rules for grafana to follow when it auto sizes.
